The downside: next month, we will have snow. Back in CA, the orange groves would just about be blooming, the sun will be shining, and the grass will be green.

Just an onservation: Some people here in MI still celebrate Christmas long into February. You've got reindeer, snowmen, blow up machines, Santa, candy canes, wreaths, soldiers, lions, and tigers, and bears, oh my!

I know of a certain pharmacist blogger that puts his lights up the 1st of November and will leave them up as long as his "boss" will let him.
The good thing about living away was that everyday of Christmas break was vacation. I loved coming home from Denver because for two weeks all we had to do was eat sleep and play, now I have to still do laundry and clean and make dinner.
