Want to make millions?

Figure out the solution to this:

Saturday I went and got groceries at Meijer. The yellow tags showing sale items were abundant, and overall the shopping trip was very successful. You know us dutchies, I can't buy if it is not on sale.
Yesterday, before throwing away my receipt, I started checking it over. I was overcharged for four items that should have been marked down but weren't. $5.29 for Josh's frozen pizza that should have been 4 for $10.
Today I will drag myself into Meijers, stand in the return/exchange line with seventeen other people, waiting for the one person working the desk. Here is the part where the millions come in: find a way to automate this online. A website where I can type in my receipt number and have the price adjusted without leaving the comfort of my own home.

Also, how about a family friendly, sit down restaurant with a play yard? We will be meeting with friends on Friday evening, both of us have little ones, and would love to go to a place like Applebees with a play structure like McDonalds. Is there something like this out there already?

Well, the Meijer price adjustments are finished. Difference? $11.03. Worth the trip:-)

Did they give you the extra money for over charging you as well? There is a law in the state of Michigan that if you are overcharged for an item they have to reimburse you the difference plus the difference again (I think - something like that) up to $5. They paid me to buy a gift for my niece one time.

Red Robin is a good option for child entertainment while eating good food. No playground, but still a fun environment for kids - plus bottomless fries - YUM!

It's called the Michigan Scanner Law - just say when you bring your receipt up that you want the additional refund owed to you due to the Michigan Scanner Law:
"Our State law requires that most items on store shelves be clearly marked with a price tag. If an automatic checkout system (scanner) charges you more than the marked price of an item, and:

1) the transaction has been completed, and

2) you have a receipt indicating the item purchased and the price charged for it.

Then:

You must notify the seller that you were overcharged, within 30 days of the transaction, either in person or in writing. Within two days of receiving your notice, the seller may choose to refund you the difference between the amount charged and the price marked plus a "bonus" of ten times the difference, with a minimum of $1.00 and a maximum of $5.00. If the seller refuses to give you both the refund and the bonus, you may bring a lawsuit to recover your actual damages or $250.00, whichever is greater, plus reasonable attorney fees up to $300.00."

Sorry to post a comment late, but I had to comment. Here in South Africa they have restaurants (almost all - compared to Applebees) and they have play areas including trampolines, blow up castles and video games. They serve the kids first and when the kids are done they serve the adult food - WE EAT IN PEACE!

Just thought I would comment

By the way this is Chelle's sister in law and Katies sister Lia
